This program will extract the files needed to read
THE LITTLE BOOK.

FIRST
Before you download, you need to decide which drive or directory you want to save it into. I recommend you save to a disk in A:drive. You will then have a backup, and can install to any drive/directory. A subdirectory named "tlb" is good, but not required.

All THE LITTLE BOOK program files should be placed in an empty subdirectory. C:\tlb is preferred, but X:\any will work fine. The RTLB.EXE program will not load if not in the same directory with its text files, or if the text file or program has been altered. A future version will check the %PATH%... (This is a beta.)

YOUR SYSTEM
If you are using a GUI OP SYS such as Windoz or Oz2, follow the directions in your users manual or HELP Tutor to decompress the file and setup the EXE program to run in a "dos window."
DOS or LINUX systems users may also want to do some setup for best performance.

OR, THIS MIGHT WORK...
1. Go to "Start," select "Restart in DOS" and proceed as below:
Or, go to "Programs," select "DOS Shell" or "DOS Prompt" and then:

2. Using DOS commands,
Change to your Root Directory---------------------->C:\WINDOWS>CD\
Create a subdirectory for THE LITTLE BOOK---------->C:\>md tlb
Now change to that directory----------------------->C:\>cd tlb
Copy TLB.exe to your C:Drive----->C:\TLB>Xcopy A:TLB.exe C:
(Note: if the tlb.exe program is not in A:drive, use the correct path.)
Then type tlb-------------------------------------->C:\TLB>tlb
and press enter.
When it finishes you will see your prompt again.
Now, while you are in DOS, would be a good time to run the RTLB program.
type RTLB at the C:\TLB> Prompt--------------> C:\TLB>rtlb
and press enter.

3. After a successful test of THE LITTLE BOOK program:
Restart your machine. Now go to "File" (or Start) in the control bar and select "new." Select an icon, create a new folder or "shortcut," depending on your system.
GUI power users can create a PIF and run RTLB in a DOS window by clickclicking on its icon. The rest of us may have to look up key words in the help file or users manual, or beg help from our friendly computer guru.

PLEASE NOTE
This file will change as work continues on the site....
I welcome input from persons who succeed in installing the TLB.EXE program. Your input will assist me in completing and releasing the final version of the RTLB program. If possible, please include a description of the any error message, and an explanation of how it occurred. Information on your system will be needed.
While I have done my best to avoid typos and bad grammar, I fear some have slipped past me (I discovered another one today), and I regret any wrong scripture references...

A printed version of The Little Book is available. For information, send your address to [email protected]
